Fitness Instructor / Personal Trainer - Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club

This role is about delivering exceptional customer service, whether motivating members, giving personal training, or lifeguarding the pool. It involves supervising the fitness floor offering help and support with exercise programs and techniques, and giving advice on training and lifestyle.


Devising fitness programs based on information and demonstrating safe & proper usage of Equipment stations.

Assisting Users within the Gym on proper usage and providing excellent customer satisfaction through pleasant contact with users
To provide guidance for individuals referred by GP's or specialists in exercise prescriptions. Assist in feedback for general guidance
Complete & file all relevant paperwork, including maintenance requests and cleaning checklists
Conduct daily swimming pool bacterial measurements and record findings on log and take any necessary action
Assist in ensuring that all Leisure Club facilities, including the Changing Areas, are maintained to the correct standard
Assist on the Leisure Reception desk and with membership enquiries when required
To ensure that all fitness equipment, fabric, furniture and fittings are maintained in an operational, clean and tidy condition at all times
To assist with general duties in Leisure Club, to ensure smooth running of department

Skills and Knowledge

Strong Communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
Pro-active and reliable
Able to work alone and within a team

Education or Certification

Good level of English essential


The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

L3 Personal trainer award
Pool Lifeguard/Pool Attendant qualification
First Aid Certificate
Pool Plant operators qualification ( desirable )


Performs other related tasks as assigned by management
Complies with Head Office policies and procedures
Working hours as required to do your job but normally not less than 39 hours per week
