POSITION TITLE                 Supervisor

SALARY                                Grade 5 £21,220 - £24,565

We are looking for individuals who can add value and assist us in delivering service excellence.

Hospitality Services operates and manages the accommodation on the Edinburgh campus year round and we are looking for exceptional individuals to join our teams.

Hours:35hrs per week, 5/7 including weekends, and statuary days, monthly rosterssubject to change. Additional hours required at peak periods.

Key Functions:
(i) Ensure our Halls of Residence give a positive impression and are well maintained.

(ii) Day to day management of the delivery of accommodation, and accommodation related services to all students and commercial users.

(iii) Directing, managing, training and motivating the Residence Assistants and Porters.

(iv) Managing staff planning for Residences including proactively identifying specific needs and requirements for staff, including agency staff to meet the demands of the business and the agreed service levels.

(v) Take personal day to day responsibility for the supervision and delivery of the cleaning schedule for all aspects and areas of our Halls of Residence including linen rooms, cleaning stores, external laundry rooms and building perimeters.

(vi) Be responsible and accountable for the operational management of linen and cleaning stocks including carrying out and reporting on regular inventory checks. 

(vii) Daily maintenance checks including student maintenance forms. Reporting of these and their follow up. 

(viii) Health and Safety for all colleagues, teams and contractors working within the Halls of Residence.Please note that this job description is not exhaustive, and the role holder may be required to undertake other relevant duties commensurate with the grading of the post.  Activities may be subject to amendment over time as the role develops and/or priorities and requirements evolve.
