Lecturer - Plumbing, Domestic Gas and Emerging Technologies
Part time – 0.5 FTE 17.5 hours per week (11 hours teaching)
Location: Granton and Midlothian campuses
Fixed Term: 1 year
Salary: £33,633 - £36,461 pro rata (appointment is usually made at the first point in the two point salary scale)
An opportunity exists within the Construction team for a committed and enthusiastic lecturer in Plumbing, Domestic Gas and Emerging Technologies to prepare, support and deliver Plumbing and Domestic Gas qualifications within the Built Environment, Security, Plumbing and Emergent Technologies Team.
This post offers an opportunity to train and assess all aspects of Plumbing and Domestic Gas qualifications to our apprentices and full time students.
You may be also asked to support and deliver Construction Units across the Institute.
Qualifications and experience:
• Occupationally competent in Plumbing and Domestic Gas
• Relevant qualification at SCQF 6 / 7
• Relevant experience in the industry as a time served apprentice in Plumbing and Gas
• Previous training and assessing experience would be desirable, although training will be given to a successful candidate
• Emerging Technologies qualifications would be desirable, although training will be given to a successful candidate
The successful candidate may be required to work at any Edinburgh College campus.
