Job Description

Job Purpose:

To manage the development and maintenance of the Council’s ICT strategy and ICT policies. To work with Services within the Council to ensure the Council has plans for ICT that ensure its ICT systems and services meet its changing business needs via the ICT Business Partners. To manage the commercial interface between the Council and it’s ICT suppliers and to benchmark the Council’s ICT services to assure best value. To establish and manage the ICT Programme Office providing effective programme management for the Council’s ICT Programme Board and ensure that the Council’s ICT projects are managed in line with PRINCE2 standards. Corporate management of the Council’s information and records management function.

Duration:  Permanent

Salary:     HC11, £41,660 - £45,573 p.a. (Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale)

Qualifications / Experience Required (Essential):

Degree level education, in a numerate/business related subject, or equivalent.

Significant experience in a ICT Service Strategy or Planning or Programme Management role.

PRINCE2 Practitioner.
