Finance Analyst - Treasury & Savings

Our ideal candidate will act as an interface between the Commercial, Finance and Treasury teams to support Treasury Management and Savings at Sainsbury's Bank. Through providing support and challenge, the role prepares robust, understood and timely cash-flow and financial plans and analysis to ensure the business has visibility of, and can take appropriate decisions around, future liquidity requirements.

You'll be:

Responsible for delivery of Savings, Funding and Liquidity budgets and forecasts, process information from various sources to ensure that robust and transparent plans are completed and signed off by senior management within agreed timescales and to acceptable tolerances
Producing monthly product packs, highlighting risks and opportunities and full year out turn projections
Delivering and developing of the regular Treasury cash flow analysis/ liquidity forecasts to support front office in its dealing decisions to ensure that all gaps in liquidity and funding are known in advance and escalated appropriately
Assisting the business in measuring impact of changes to the budgeted balance sheet and P&L positions. Working with other finance and commercial teams, update and reforecast changes to Treasury and Savings products for relevant working groups and stakeholders
Delivering and developing regular Treasury cash flow analysis to support front office in its dealing decisions to ensure that all gaps in liquidity and funding are known in advance and escalated appropriately
Using existing models and developing new models ensure Treasury managers are provided with financial information to assist in strategic or pricing decisions.
Point of contact within Commercial Finance for Treasury and Savings. You will be responsible for ensuring that business developments are shared with appropriate colleagues, and are financially robust. Build and deepen relationships across the bank to facilitate smooth delivery of the role.
Positively challenging assumptions through analysis of trends and other MI available, to deliver realistic and balanced forecasts, budgets and business cases. Review outputs for accuracy.

You'll bring:

Part Qualified Accountant of with practical experience of financial or treasury forecasting, management accounting or strong commercial experience. Financial services knowledge essential
Well organised being able to prioritise workload in line with deadlines and work effectively under pressure
Highly numerate, with excellent analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail (esp. MS Excel)
Customer focussed team player demonstrating strong relationship management skills with an ability to work closely with others to deliver results
Excellent communication skills with an ability to operate effectively across all levels of the organisation, e.g. able to translate complex / technical issues to meet the audience's competency level.
