The Grampian Assessor & Electoral Registration Officer is seeking a Clerical Officer to join a team dealing with all the functions of the organisation - electoral registration, council tax banding and valuation for rating - and you will be required to undertake a wide variety of duties within this demanding environment.


You must be highly motivated and have a flexible and positive approach to all aspects of work.  Your communication and organisational skills must be of a high standard as you will be required to work on your own initiative and as part of a team liaising with the public, other public sector bodies and external agencies.  Excellent attention to detail is a crucial attribute and you should be able to uphold the highest levels of confidentiality. Annual leave may be restricted during certain times of the year such as before and during election and canvass periods. You may be required to work additional hours during busy periods, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.


Applicants must demonstrate a high standard of literacy and numeracy and should have a minimum of 5 standard grades or equivalent.  Highers and the ECDL would be desirable and the successful candidate will be encouraged to work towards a formal qualification in Electoral Registration.
