Based at Ravenswood, New Road, Forfar, you will work full time 37 Hours per week.
You will hold a minimum of 4 Standard Grade (or National 5) passes (including English and Mathematics).
You will assist the Senior Valuers with their responsibilities in connection with the inspection, measurement and valuation of heritable property for rating purposes and for the banding of dwellings for Council Tax purposes.
You will have the ability to undertake property inspection and measurement, to note its extent, construction and physical condition. You will also be able to prepare line drawings and floor plans to scale, calculate floor areas and prepare reports on the construction and condition of properties. Training will be provided and the successful applicant will work towards attaining qualifications relevant to the post. A knowledge of Information Technology and a high level of numeracy and literacy skills are required as is the ability to function as part of a team. A valid driving licence or willingness to obtain a valid driving licence within a reasonable timescale or an assisted transport arrangement is essential as is the ability to travel frequently to locations in Tayside and on occasion to meetings and events throughout the UK. As this post requires a Basic Disclosure, a satisfactory response from Disclosure Scotland is necessary.
