The candidate must have a minimum of a level 1.1 SFA children or youth coaching qualification.
As part of a dynamic Leisure and Sport section, you will assist in the delivery of the Football programme for Leisure & Culture Dundee, coaching to a variety of individuals and groups, whilst adhering, where relevant, to Scottish Governing Body (SGB) guidelines and specified coach to participant ratios.
You will have a general interest in football and have experience of working with primary school aged children. You must be able to work effectively with a variety of professional partners, parents and children and possess excellent communication skills. Experience in assisting practical paid / voluntary sports coaching is essential along with, experience of working with children from a variety of backgrounds in a physical activity setting. Excellent organisational and planning skills. You must also have the ability to work in a team, work independently and be strongly self motivated. Have to ability to communicate effectively with children and young people with excellent interpersonal skills You must also be flexible and adaptable. Must be willing to work flexible hours including weekend work when required This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Leisure and Culture Dundee.
