Claims Adjuster - Global Markets

We have an excellent opportunity for Casualty Claims Handler in our Glasgow office on permanent basis.
This is a newly created role in our Glasgow office; you will manage a portfolio of claims for multiple lines of business including coverage analysis, investigation, evaluation of policy liability, legal liability and quantum.
It will be advantageous if you have previous experience in dealing with Marine, Aviation or Property claims, however we are happy to consider candidates with suitable general claims handling experience.
To negotiate settlement of claims to bring them to a successful conclusion.
This may involve policy holders, other professionals, insurers, loss adjusters, brokers, solicitors and third parties
Self-management of own caseload to ensure prompt settlement of files, accuracy and timeliness including control of vendor expenses
To work within the framework of Chubb ethical and service standards
Focus on service delivery across the team for all internal/external client groups and stakeholders.
To act as part of a team to ensure both Team and individual goals are met
To work with third party service providers to ensure claims service standards are maintained
To represent Chubb at internal and external meetings including review meetings with brokers, key clients and London market representatives
To develop and maintain client relationships and look after key accounts through providing timely and clear responses to correspondence received.
To provide general assistance and support to senior claims adjusters, managers and underwriters including projects and ad-hoc tasks as they arise
Previous experience in a Claims handling role
Experience in dealing with Marine, Aviation or Property claims is advantageous
Excellent Customer Service skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
