The company client is a widely known growing business who is actively seeking to recruit a proactive, personable and highly analytical Qualified Accountant for their team based in Glasgow. The successful candidate will assist with preparation and delivery of external reporting, internal management reporting (including Board reporting), regulatory reporting, unit pricing and finance reporting readiness for the migration of the legacy administration systems.This is an outstanding opportunity to achieve a highly lucrative and rewarding career.

Major duties for this job:

* Deliver monthly management reporting, including Board reporting and reporting to the Canadian finance team
* Deliver year end statutory reporting for insurance, holding, investment management and dormant entities.
* Ensure readiness for the financial reporting aspects relating to changes to the administration and financial systems and involvement in impact assessment, Finance business requirements and testing.
* Assist with preparation of the strategic business plan and related reporting.
* Assist with the delivery of the regulatory reporting for the year end, including Pillar 3 reporting readiness.
* Assist with the completion of the Corporation Tax schedules for submission to HMRC.
* Participate in other Finance projects, or company-wide projects that impact Finance.
* Manage the daily unit pricing process
* Manage the relationship with fund managers for investment reporting
* Participate in ad-hoc projects as required by the Manager - Financial Reporting.

Qualifications and skills for this role:

* Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA) Required with 1 year's post accounting qualification experience
* Preferably insurance industry financial reporting experience.
* Excellent communication skills
* A demonstrated ability to set priorities to meet tight deadlines
* Ability to challenge the status quo
* Strong influencing skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Additional information:

* The role come with the opportunity, for the right individual, to specialise in tax compliance and reporting.
* This would include the provisioning, computation and reporting under US GAAP of the EMEA region into the US headquarters.
* It is not a necessity to have prior tax experience although this will be hugely beneficial.
