Reporting to the ICT Network Support Administrator you will provide third level ICT professional and technical expertise and advice to assist in determining information technology requirements in support of business needs, including network troubleshooting and repairs. You will be responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of the ICT network infrastructure, equipment and related applications in accordance with the ICT strategy of the Care Inspectorate and SSSC. You will also be required to provide ICT support for any office moves within Care Inspectorate offices throughout Scotland.
You will have a confident, self motivated and customer orientated outlook and have the ability to remain calm in stressful situations with significant experience of providing third level support within a busy ICT department plus a minimum of 2/3 years' experience and specialist knowledge of supporting Microsoft Servers 2008/12, Microsoft Active Directory & Group Policies, Microsoft Exchange 2007/13, VMware, Veritas Backup Exe, Voice over IP technology etc.
You should also be able to evidence a strong awareness of new ICT technologies and how these benefit the organisation together with specialist knowledge of software engineering and development life cycles.
