Hours:  Alternating shift patterns Mon – Thurs 07.00 to 15.30 Fri 07.00 to 15.00
09.00 to 17.30 Fri 09.00 to 17.00

We are currently looking to recruit a Workshop Operator to join our Fleet Services Team.


Fleet Services are responsible for the maintenance and repair of the Councils 16000 vehicles and plant. As a Workshop receptionist you will be an integral part of the team and the first point of contact for our customers and members of the Public. You must have a good telephone manner, polite, courteous and willing to help, require a working knowledge of a fast paced vehicle workshop environment and be computer literate, hold a current Cat B licence and capable of carrying out minor multi discipline repairs. The Workshop receptionist will Book vehicles in and out of the workshop and liaise with external service providers, maintain vehicle records both manual and electronic ensuring legal compliance and road test vehicle to establish nature of defects.

37 Hours week 1 hour for lunch.
