Are you a Financial Accountant looking to assist in developing a brand new finance team in Edinburgh?

About the role

You will be working closely with the London based Financial Accounting Transition Manager on the transition and bedding in of new staff and processes in Edinburgh until the completion of the transition process. You will also have direct line management responsibility of the Assistant Financial Accountant.

You will work with the team to deliver the overall objectives above and in particular to manage: G/L administration and budgeting and reporting of Practice Support overheads. You will also be responsible for ensuring the monthly financial reporting deadlines are met as well as preparing the global consolidated financial statements.

About you

A qualified accountant; you will possess proven experience within a finance environment ideally gained from having worked in a commercial and practice environment.

We are looking for a Graduate or equivalent with a strong academic record that is CCAB-Qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA). You will be PC-literate with a good working knowledge of Excel, able to work unsupervised and have the ability to meet deadlines. You will be willing to work to understand accounting requirements of overseas entities, be highly numerate and show initiative at all times. You will be persistent and persuasive in dealing with issues and be a confident, effective communicator at all levels both written and verbally.
