In this challenging and highly visible role you will provide control, challenge and support to enable high quality change portfolio planning and management, navigating Sainsburys Bank's change portfolio to success. Your experience in complex business transformation will help you to successfully support the Bank in achieving improved financial management and governance, improved ability to highlight issues and delays before they happen and to resolve issues faster and more effectively.

From bank-wide portfolio level to project delivery tracking, you will provide valuable visibility for stakeholders up to Executive level supporting informed and timely decisions, quickly establishing credibility with your understanding of both governance and business needs.

Your role responsibilities will include:

Develop and manage the annual Change portfolio planning process to ensure change plans for future years are established and maintained in line with the financial planning cycle, ensuring all projects are prioritised and enabling effective planning of associated resources and funding internally and across key suppliers
Maintain the recognised 'Single View' of the truth for the Change Portfolio for all internal and parent led projects, liaising with key stakeholders in SB, LBG and JS to gain commitment and buy-in to ensure the portfolio is deliverable
Accountable for the development, management and reporting of a consistent, high-level view of the SB Portfolio profile and status across SB
Develop, successfully introduce and manage bank-wide air traffic control to improve the overall visibility of key activities and changes across all areas of the bank and support senior leadership to identify areas or concern or manage clashes
Support the Head of Business Change to establish and then manage the strategic planning through effective governance, tracking and reporting of the strategic outcome chain
Monitor and quality assure all project plans for slippage and progress against mandatory deliverables and key milestones ensuring an accurate view of the Change Portfolio and underlying Change plan is maintained at all times
Identify, develop and drive improvements to key control areas (ARICaD, Planning and Change Control) so that these controls remain fit-for-purpose
Facilitate identification and resolution of portfolio planning contention, resulting in aligned multi-party portfolio plans (e.g. across Lloyds Banking Group, J Sainsbury, Sainsbury's Bank and FIS) and minimized risk across the Change Portfolio and the New Bank Programme
Provide visibility of portfolio status and material factors that have determined the status (risks, etc.) and clear resolution/decision requirements to the Head of Business Change and Accountable Executives via Change Investment Committee (CIC) to empower Executive engagement and intervention
Control and provide effective visibility of material portfolio level risks, issues, constraints, assumptions and dependencies, ensuring that these items are effectively managed
Responsible for the development, management and reporting of a consistent, high-level view of SB Supply & Demand for change activities to enable resource management within the Change team and across SB
Working with the SRM team, support the deployment of the SRM framework for Sainsbury's Bank partners and suppliers establishing a single view of pricing, performance, service and issue resolution, ensuring governance is measured in line with the SRM process, policy and risk appetite

Your skills, knowledge and experience:

Proven track record in the management of complex business transformation at all stages of the lifecycle
Experience within the financial services industry
Well organised and able to prioritise workload in line with tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure
Highly resilient and able to deal effectively with ambiguity/changing priorities
Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced change environment
Highly numerate, with excellent analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent team player with ability to work closely with others to deliver results
