We are currently recruiting on behalf of a Total Quality Assurance provider to industries worldwide. For more than 130 years, companies have depended on their expertise in quality and safety. They are now looking for a Laboratory Manager to join their newly developed site in Grangemouth.



As Laboratory Manager you will be responsible for planning and coordinating all activities of the Laboratory relating to testing, quality, customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, productivity, and profitability are maximised. The Laboratory Manager has responsibility for the technical operation of the laboratory and for ensuring that the requirements of external accreditation (ISO 9001/17025/18001/14001 etc.) are met.



In addition to this you must ensure that department quality, customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, productivity and profitability are maximised.



The ideal candidate for this role will be technically proficient in all matters of laboratory operation including administration, instrumentation, testing and quality systems. Criteria to include:
  • Degree in Chemistry or other related technical field
  • Broad managerial experience in a laboratory environment
  • Knowledge of the oil and gas industrial business
  • Strong people management skills
  • Understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental matters
  • Organised, self-motivated, attention to detail and excellent communication skills
