New opportunity not to be missed! Marlin Industries has an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Manager to join the team at our Scotland site. Joining us on a full time permanent basis, you will receive a competitive salary dependant on experience.

The purpose of the Compliance Manager is to ensure that Directors, management and employees are in compliance with the rules and regulations of regulatory agencies, that company policies and procedures are being followed, and that behaviour in the organization meets the company’s Standards of Conduct. The Compliance Manager monitors and reports results of the compliance/ethical efforts of the Scotland site and provides guidance for employees on matters relating to compliance. The role also ensures that training and maintenance requirements at the Scotland site are met.

Key Responsibilities of the Compliance Manager

- Internal Audits including co-ordination of actions via HSEQ meetings

- Adheres to and maintains the organisations document control procedure in relation to the Scotland site

- Departmental inspections including co-ordination of corrective actions

- Quality Inspections for each section

- Risk assessments – New & review of existing ones (Annually)

- Recording and monitoring of Customer & Supplier complaints including the co-ordination of corrective / preventive actions

- Recording and co-ordination of internal problem reports including monitoring of corrective / preventive actions

- Accident / near miss statistics & reports

- Controls & maintains training matrix

- Carries out training assessments & advises of grade changes

- Carries out Initial safety training on machinery

- New employee induction including completion of HR documentation

- Ensures training records are maintained for all employees

- Co-ordination & prioritising against rolling maintenance list

- Co-ordination of preventative & breakdown maintenance

Skills, Knowledge and Experience required by the Compliance Manager

- Confidence to instruct, motivate and educate team members in relation to achieving organisational goals

- Effective communication skills, in particular the ability to provide constructive and positive feedback to members of the team as well as negotiating with senior leadership to ensure the team has the necessary resources (time, people, equipment) needed to achieve goals

- Good computer skills, in particular in the use of Microsoft office

- Problem solving skills

- Planning and organizational skills

- Minimum of 5 x GSCE (or equivalent)

- Trained to top grade level in manufacturing operations

- NVQ level 2 in Team Leading

- A2 Assessor award or equivalent

- Appraisal training

- Forklift licence

- ISO 9001:2008 Internal auditing


- To be responsive, self motivated and innovative

- To be organised and consistent in achieving high standards, willing to go the extra mile.

- To demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment towards quality, environmental and Health & safety standards

- The ability to make effective decisions in the absence of senior leadership

- To demonstrate a high degree of product & organisational awareness

- To demonstrate effective coaching skills
