Job Description
An opportunity has arisen to work as an Approved Electrician within the extremely busy Street Lighting Section of our Roads & Land Service. The successful applicant must be fully conversant with current Electrical Regulations and Codes of Practice, hold a clean driving licence, be available to work overtime over time if required, and take part in a standby rota. The post holder should have the ability to investigate faults etc. on the street lighting cable network, and repair or report as necessary. You will contribute to delivery of the Stirling Council Capital Investment, Street Lighting Energy Efficiency, being heavily involved in the continuing LED replacement programme. Having completed a recognised time served apprenticeship, possession of SJB Registration as an Approved Electrician is essential, together with SCOTVEC Level 3 or equivalent. Experience in working within street lighting apparatus is desirable but not essential, and you must be capable of working under your own initiative.
