The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) is delighted to invite applications for the post of Wholetime Firefighter.
We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic women and men from across our diverse communities to undertake this challenging and rewarding role - working together for a safer Scotland. Responding to a whole range of emergencies such as fires, floods and rescue from height is vital, but the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has an equally important role within the area of community engagement and prevention.
Firefighters sit at the very heart of their communities. They are extensively involved in undertaking home safety checks for families and the vulnerable. They also work with our children in schools, through youth groups and they engage with the elderly through strong partnership working with voluntary organisations and healthcare partners.

Applicants must be aged 18 years of age or over, at the date of application and have a good level of physical fitness to meet the required standards for the role. Exceptional team working, communication and problem solving skills are also essential.
A minimum of National Level 4 or equivalent, in Mathematics is desirable, as is a valid UK Driving Licence.

Successful applicants will be required to undertake and pass a full medical and eyesight examination prior to joining us.
