Working in the Leisure Team within Peterhead Leisure and Community Centre you will be required to assist in ensure the safety and good conduct of members of the public whilst they are in the Swimming Pool or Leisure & Recreation Facility

You will have good communication and organisational skills, be eager to learn and able to work as part of a team.

Successful candidates will be placed on an approved programme of training through the Aberdeenshire Council Modern Apprenticeship Scheme for SVQ Level 2. In line with funding requirements applications are invited from candidates aged 16- 24 years who are not in full/part time education and not educated to degree level. Academic achievement to Scottish National Level 4 or 5, Standard Grades or equivalent transferable experience and skills is essential.

Aberdeenshire Council currently applies a Living Wage Supplement to all Council employees earning less than £8.33 per hour.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.  Where applicable, this post also requires an Overseas Criminal Record Check.  A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

This post has a minimum requirement of 1 reference which must be your current or most recent employer.
