Job Description

The post holder will contribute to the management and development of Learning Disability Services within West Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnership.

They will provide day to day management and supervision of a staff team delivering direct support to adults with a learning disability, and their carers. The post holder will work within the Community Based Project that operates across the authority.

The post holder should have and SVQ 3 or equivalent and be willing to work towards any required level of qualification as outlined by the SSSC for the purpose of Registration.

The postholder must be able to demonstrate a knowledge of The Keys to Life and all other national drivers that under pin the values within Leaning Disability Services/Health and Social Care.



Requirements

The new PVG scheme replaces enhanced disclosures when undertaking work with Children or Vulnerable Adults. This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.



Responsibilities
