As a Modern Apprentice Customer Service Assistant working within our First Stop Shops, you will provide a high standard of customer service when dealing with customer enquiries at first point of contact. Therefore, previous experience of working in a customer service environment would be desirable.
A minimum of 4 Standard Grades, at bands 1-3 / 4 National 5s, at band A-C (both including English), or equivalent, is essential, while a qualification in IT, such as Standard Grade Computing, at bands 1-3 or PC Passport would be advantageous. In addition to good IT skills, it is essential that you are articulate and possess good written communication skills.
You must be able to give practical examples of when and how you have demonstrated team work and have a positive, flexible and enthusiastic approach to working on a full-time basis.
You will be provided with full training and gain experience in the delivery of front line services within North Lanarkshire Council. An essential part of this apprenticeship will be to complete a Modern Apprenticeship SVQ Level 3 in Customer Service and knowledge of the content of this award would be desirable.
