Responsibilities: Scotland’s business customers are able to choose their water retailer. Buying decisions are made on the basis of value, customer service and confidence in their supplier and account manager. Our client has been offering retail water services in Scotland since 2008 and in this time they have established a growing and loyal customer base. They have recently been awarded a significant and prestigious contract to provide their services to the Scottish Public Sector.
They are looking for accomplished account managers, based and working in Scotland, to deliver a first class service to their new Public Sector customers. This position is home based with a company car provided and it will involve regular travel throughout Scotland. Their Scottish office is located in Edinburgh, where you will meet regularly with your colleagues and Public Sector customers. With a generous salary you are not commission based, but have up to 15% annual bonus on offer.
Reporting to the Business Development Manager, you will deliver a pro-active account management service across the public sector, conducting regular account meetings, promoting and delivering value add services and ensuring KPI’s are exceeded.
You will be able to work autonomously and as a key member of their public sector and broader teams. By building close working relationships with their public sector customers, you will be responsible for providing advice regarding their water, water recycling, profile and behaviour; assisting them to maximise efficiency and minimise their water and wastewater bills.
Requirements: This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a successful account manager. With previous experience in a commercial environment, the successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent relevant qualification and must have proven sales and account management experience. With the ability to build strong customer relationships, you will have extensive experience of managing customers based over a large geographical area and be confident working at all levels of the supply chain.
You will have experience of account management in the public and private sectors and whilst experience of the water, energy or telecoms markets would be an advantage, it is not essential. A motivated, professional and enthusiastic approach to account management and business development is a pre-requisite.
As this role comes with a company car, applicants must hold a full UK driving licence.
