Please note, the salary will be pro rata to the number of hours worked.

We are currently looking to recruit several Care Support Workers (Days/Nights) to be available to work on a supply basis within our services located throughout West Dunbartonshire.

The role of the Residential, Day Care and Respite Services is to support, care for and protect older people by providing services designed to promote the dignity, safety and independence of the people who use our services.

The successful applicant will provide personal care and support to residents as directed by senior staff.

They will maintain a homely, person centred environment for individuals and groups of residents consistent with their needs through the provision of a range of duties including personal care and meaningful activities.

If you have or are working towards a care qualification, and are able to support residents to maintain their independence and assist them to carry out daily life tasks, we would welcome your application.


The new PVG scheme replaces enhanced disclosures when undertaking work with Children or Vulnerable Adults. This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Further details of this scheme can be found here. Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
