Job Description

A vacancy has arisen for Facilities Assistant in Vale of Leven Academy. The working pattern of this position is Monday & Tuesday 6.00pm-9.30pm, Wednesday & Thursday 5.30pm-9.00pm and Friday 5.00pm-8.30pm.

The post holder will be responsible for the day to day operation of Facilities Management Services within the establishment. They will require to undertake a combination of duties with a flexible day to day variable need this will include, staff supervision, key holding responsibility, cleaning duties and porterage, food handling and various other duties as detailed in the job profile.

The post holder will require to adhere to Food Safety Systems of Work and Health and Safety legislation would be an advantage as would previous experience in this line of work. The successful candidate should be able to work on their own initiate as well as part of a team.



Requirements

The new PVG scheme replaces enhanced disclosures when undertaking work with Children or Vulnerable Adults. This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
