Our Garthdee Campus has undergone a multi-million pound investment in recent years and now provides our staff and students with state-of-the-art facilities in a beautiful riverside setting. Our cleaning staff have a crucial role in maintaining these buildings, ensuring a clean, safe working environment for staff, students and visitors to RGU.
We recruit Cleaners at selection events throughout year. You can register your interest in the meantime by completing an application and we will notify you as soon as a selection event becomes available.
RESPONSIBLE TO: Facilities Services Supervisor
PURPOSE OF POST: Undertaking a full range of cleaning activities on our Garthdee Campus and across all RGU Properties, to ensure that designated areas are kept in a clean and hygienic condition.
Undertakes general cleaning duties of all surfaces in open access areas such as catering outlets, seminar rooms, social space,teaching rooms and public areas. In addition to hygiene areas such as shower rooms, toilets and staff kitchen areas.
Undertake General Cleaning of all Fixtures and Fittings within academic buildings. Vacuum and use powered equipment where necessary.
Remove and dispose of all waste streams.
Ensures compliance with all relevant Health and Safety Rules and procedures.
Ensures security of areas being cleaned.
Undertakes required training in relation to the role.
May be deployed as and when required to different sites within university portfolio.
Any other relevant duties that may be assigned from time to time.
