Engineering Project Manager
Salaries starting from £40,000. Scotland, Fife.
A major name in Oil & Gas has a new position available for an experienced project manager.
You will manage a multi-disciplined team of mechanical drawing, design and project engineers on major installation, pre-com and commissioning projects in the UK, mainland USA and the CIS region.
You will act as the main client contact for all project matters and ensure the project runs in accordance with customer specifications, time scales or deadlines. You will also be responsible for meeting or exceeding budget performance.
Other duties will include managing contracts in terms of variation to the original scope of supply, assessing and monitoring project risks and minimising or preventing risk across all aspects of the project.
A good financial understanding is required as you will regularly review project margins, produce project estimates and manage project expenditure.
You will need to have both a sound technical project understanding and good business acumen.
Oil & Gas project related experience is beneficial yet not essential however, your experience should certainly be in heavy industry, plant or large scale civil engineering.
Key qualifications/experience
Degree qualified in Engineering or Business (or both)
Association of Project Management qualification (beneficial)
Demonstrable project based practical experience
Must be willing to travel
Excellent motivational skills
