Staff Nurse

Grade: Band 5, Contract Type: Permanent, Hours: 24

A vacancy has arisen in the ward area of Strathcarron Hospice for a Staff Nurse to join our team of permanent nursing staff and to contribute to the delivery of specialist palliative care services. This post is permanent, part time, 24 hours per week.We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to enhance our dynamic nursing team. It is expected that you have an understanding of the principles of specialist palliative care. Evidence of good communication skills is essential. Palliative care experience, an awareness of communication and counselling approaches, as well as knowledge of symptom management is desirable. A minimum of two years post registration experience with evidence of continued professional development is preferable.Strathcarron Hospice offers a supportive work environment with access to a wide range of development opportunities.
