My Client is undertaking an extensive roads and footways repair and maintenance contract for a duration of 10 months. For this contract I require 2 Civil Engineering Technician's.
The Technicians should have experience of implementing and supervising roadworks and associated reinstatement works before, during and after the on-site works, have knowledge of road layer depths and materials employed, preferably hold an HNC or at least an ONC, and be computer literate i.e. capable of processing works instructions and completed works on computerised roads maintenance management system. Driving licence is essential.
Experience of the monitoring, supervision and recording of roadwork's construction contracts. You will also write reports, attend meetings, deal with correspondence, prepare contracts, monitor costs and carry out general civil engineering duties. Technicians require to be able to use Microsoft Office suite of programs and preferably C.A.D. and Microsoft Project. The CDM Regulations apply to the maintenance works and the technicians. Other Procedures / Duties required will have training provided. Salary Negotiable depending on experience. Contract duration 11 months with a possible 3 month extension.
